The interaction flow for OIDC is the same as for OAuth.

However, the Scopes supported by OIDC are different. OIDC returns an additional ID Token, alongside the expected Access and Refresh Tokens. Some IMS Services require this ID Token rather than an Access Token. Read the Using IMS Tokens guide for more information on when to use OIDC instead of OAuth.

To learn how to switch the service into OIDC more and more about the OIDC Scopes review the IMS Permissions and Scopes guide.

To understand more about when the ID Token should be used review the Using IMS Tokens guide.
